What To Expect After Your Breast Augmentation Lexington Operation

April 29th, 2008

You
will probably feel somewhat tired and sore for several days following
the breast augmentation
Lexington
operation, and your breasts may remain swollen and
sensitive to physical contact for a month or longer. You may also
experience a feeling of tightness in the breast area as your skin
adjusts to your new breast size. Postoperative care may involve the
use of a postoperative bra, compression bandage, or jog bra for extra
support and positioning while you heal. At your cosmetic surgeon’s
recommendation, you will most likely be able to return to work within
a few days, although for at least a couple of weeks you should avoid
any strenuous activities that could raise your pulse and blood
pressure. Your cosmetic surgeon may also recommend breast massage
exercises.

Your
doctor will be able to provide you with more specific details about
the recovery process, and he or she may have other recommendation
based on your individual needs. Should any problems happens after
your surgery, contact your physician immediately. If for instance you
experience fever, or noticeable swelling and/or redness in your
implanted breast(s), you should contact your cosmetic surgeon
immediately.
