How Does Skin Hyperpigmentation Develop
Skin hyperpigmentation affects everyone regardless of color and race.
Skin hyperpigmentation makes life miserable for most sufferers of this skin disorder. Sun damage, inflammation, or other skin injuries, including those related to acne vulgaris can give rise to hyperpigmentation. It is a skin disorder when a skin has become darker than usual. This change usually happens without sun exposure. It results from increased production of melanin.
Hormonal irregularities can result in larger areas of darkened skin which is identified as melasma or chloasma spots . They look similar to age spots. Women who consume birth control pills may also develop skin hyperpigmentation because their bodies experience similar process of hormonal irregularities that occur when you are pregnant.
