Natural Advantage Skin Care Review

The primary compound in the Natural Advantage is Retinol, a common ingredient used in anti wrinkle treatment creams. Retinol can helps the skin in the synthesis of new collagen. As a result, skin looks younger and smoother. Fine lines and wrinkles will soon go away, or at least look less noticeable.

Since it is a common ingredient for a wrinkle cream, the manufacturer developed MicroSponge, a new delivery system to set the product apart from its competitors. According to Journal of Current Drug Delivery, this microsponge delivery system is able to “provide increased efficacy for topically active agents with enhanced safety, extended product stability.” To our dismay, there is lack of information on the exact working of the delivery system.

Dr. Zoe Diana Draleos commented in Cosmetic Dermatology (January 2005 issue) how formulation and concentration are the two things that determine the effectiveness of a skin care product. Unfortunately, the manufacturer of Natural Advantage did not disclose their Retinol’s concentration level. So, it is difficult to say if the product really works.
