Female Hair Loss

July 12th, 2007

Alopecia, or hair loss, is a condition that afflicts people of both sexes all around the world. It occurs naturally caused by hereditary genes or hormonal changes.

However, hair loss can also be caused by severe infection, medications such as chemotherapy, stress, and dietary problems. Those who suffer from hair loss typically use drugs such as Minoxidil and Finasteride to stop or control the thinning hair. Others also resort to a more drastic solution which is hair transplant, involving the transfer of healthy hair follicles into balding areas and resulting to natural looking hair.
