How To Get Rid Of Cellulite

June 28th, 2007

The simplest way to get rid of cellulite is
simply exercise which if you think about is obvious from the description of
cellulite and what it is we gave earlier.

You need to tone up to get rid of cellulite it’s
as simple as that.

A specialized trainer can show you how to
exercise and condition each section of your lower body.

If done on a regular basis, combined with a
healthy diet, the desired results will slowly appear.

The space once occupied by the fat deposits are
now taken up by muscle, and regular and well-supervised exercise can increase
naturally our HGH (human growth hormone) and other bodily enzymes which can
thicken the skin, increase muscle and reduce the fat accumulation and get rid
of cellulite.

This is the key, and it cannot be replaced by
synthetic methods.

With exercise the body itself will eliminate the
cellulite, and you can get rid of cellulite and get the look you desire.

How Best to Keep Curly hair

June 26th, 2007

It seems like curly hair is making a big splash what with trend setting celebrities such as Beyonce, Alicia Keys and Christina Aguilera all sporting curly locks. It is debatable whether they are more convenient to maintain but are still associated with less time consuming hair dos. However, curly hair tends to be dryer as well as more brittle and is prone to frizzing as compared to straight hair.

A Few Simple Curly Hair Care Steps

Taking care of one’s curly hair requires limiting shampooing of the hair to not more than twice a week because shampoos will remove much of the hair’s natural oils. And, while shampooing, remember to also use a conditioner after the shampoo so that the hair is re-moisturized. Everyday, or every alternate day, one can also use a leave-in
conditioner and also make it a point to use products that are specifically
useful for curly hair.

Skin Care Reviews

June 21st, 2007

What You Put On Your Body

You must wash your skin to get healthy skin. That’s a no-brainer.
But more washing does not mean healthier skin. On the contrary, you
can really damage your skin by constant washing. Wash your entire body
once a day unless you are very sweaty; twice a day for the face; even
more often for your hands and you should be fine. You want to give
your skin a chance to produce a healthy balance of sebum, the oil your
skin naturally makes. Too much sebum will give you acne. But if you
wash all of your sebum off, the body responds by producing barrels full
of sebum to replace what was lost. Sebum is not all bad. It does help
keep your skin from wrinkling.

Other top skin care products are gentle soap and weekly scrub,
non-greasy light make up and gentle shaving lotions and creams. Not
using anything very harsh or full of additives or chemicals such as
alcohol will also help your skin. Using clean washrags or loofas also
are top skin care products. If your hair constantly brushes your face
and neck, either put it into a ponytail or keep it clean. Greasy hair
can encourage skin to break out. Check out our natural skin care page.

Winter Hair Tips

June 11th, 2007

Who doesn’t feel better on a ‘good hair day’? Sometimes they come right
out of the blue - often just as soon as you make up your mind to get a
new cut or color because you can’t do anything else with it! Why is it
so hard to get your hair to do what you want?

THE HISTORY OF HAIR

The mysteries of maintaining beautiful hair should have been
uncovered by now, but for many women finding a simple way to keep their
hair looking wonderful is as elusive as it was to women centuries
before.

The desire for beautiful hair is not new. Ancient Egyptians shaved
their heads and wore elaborate, heavy, braided wigs to achieve
perfection. European history also abounds with torturous hair styles
including the ornate, powdered styles wrapped around frames and
horsehair which attracted vermin. All in the name of beauty.

Today, fashion still influences a woman’s hairstyle but that
doesn’t mean you have to subject your hair to needless damage. Take
advantage of the tips below on caring properly for your hair.

WASHING AND CONDITIONING

Hair is not a living part of your body. However, your hair still
needs proper care for optimum health and beauty. One of the key
elements to having shiny, healthy hair is to allow the natural oils in
the scalp to lubricate it. The hair closest to the scalp benefits from
natural sebum oils the most while longer hair can become dry and
brittle from a lack of these oils.

Shampoo, no matter what exotic ingredients it’s made up of,
performs a simple job of removing excess oils, pollution and styling
product build up from the hair. All of your hair needs gentle cleansing
but it is the top two or three inches that is most weighed down with
natural oils and dulling hair products. Concentrating the washing in
that area will reduce the amount of oils removed from longer areas of
hair which can be over dried from the stripping of oils and extended
contact with shampoo.

Conditioning on the other hand should be used sparingly, if at all,
on the top inches of the hair while concentrated on the ends.
Conditioning is an important step to replace needed oils and provide
protection from styling agents such as blow dryers and irons

The Best Anti Wrinkle Face Cream Is Lifestyle

June 11th, 2007

I’m not against using anti wrinkle face cream, but many people think I am. Here’s what I’m against: carring about your skin so much that you will spend a lot of money on expensive creams, while at the same time living a lifestyle that is damaging to the skin. Why spend money on anti wrinkle face cream, only to behave in a way that will basically undo what the cream is supposed to do. To get the best results from that expensive wrinkle cream, why not live a lifestyle that will literally multiply the effectiveness of the cream?

If you smoke cigarettes and you are so concerned about your skin that you are spending money on expensive anti wrinkle face cream, then you have to stop smoking, now! Smoking actually speeds up the aging of our bodies. How does it do that? To explain simply, smoking promotes the destruction of cells, including skin cells. This is what aging is. It is my belief that any good and expensive anti wrinkle face cream will be twice as effective if you quit smoking.

Do you eat a lot of processed food, like frozen trays of macarroni and cheese, canned foods and vegetables, hot pockets, and any food with lots of sugar, even sugar in your coffee? If so, then your eating habits are very likely speeding up your aging. You are what you ate. A diet that actually slows down the aging process making you look years younger is made up of mostly fresh and unprocessed vegetables and fruits and very few or no processed foods. Give the anti wrinkle face cream you are spending tons of money on a fighting chance to work its magic. If you are going to continue smoking and eating poorly, then don’t bother buying the cream.

Diet and overall lifestyle by far have the greatest effect on anti aging. Anyone truly concerned about looking younger, enough to pay a significant amount of money on anti aging wrinkle cream, should seriously consider making lifestyle changes that will support anti aging.

Eating mostly fresh and raw foods can actually reverse the aging process, taking years off your life and having a much greater effect on your skin than any cream can.

I encourage you to modify your lifestyle to promote anti aging. You will feel tons better, have more energy and look younger all over. You probably won’t even need an anti aging wrinkle cream.

Is Electrolysis Hair Removal Right For You?

June 11th, 2007

Electrolysis hair removal could be right for you if you have hair in all the wrong places. Many women suffer from the embarrassing hair on the upper lip. Others still have hair that comes in heavily along the jaw line. Others still have hair growing on the chin. This condition can literally causes lots of stress, social discomfortant and even be a huge blow to the selfesteem of the women. If you have the problems mentioned here, then I would say that you are a good candidate for electrolysis hair removal.

If you are a women who is tired of shaving her arm pits and legs, or a man that is fed up with shaving everyday, electrolysis could be an option of you. However, I see electrolysis hair removal as an option for more serious cases. This procedure is very time consuming and could take several visits over weeks to do one leg for example. Each hair is treated one-by-one and you have a lot of hair on your legs. You men out there have quite a bit of hair on your face. Therefore, this treatment is obviously well suited to women and men with hair in embarrassing places. The payoff is well worth sitting in a chair for an hour a day for days on end until all the hair hair is removed.

How does electrolysis hair removal work? Each hair that grows on our body has a follical from which the hair grows. Electrolysis hair removal sends a charge of electricity into the follical killing the root of the hair making impossible to grow anymore. Shaving is unable to get at the root of the hair which is why it just grows back.

Electrolysis hair removal uses a stylis device which is entered into the follicle. The stylis should not penetrate the skin. A button is pressed sending the charge of electricity into the follical.

You have two options for receiving electrolysis hair removal treatment. First, you can pay a licensed professional. These trained experts can usually be found at spas or beauty salons. Depending on how large the area of hair is will determine how long it will take. Take a quick look at any area of your body that has hair on it. There’s a lot of hair there. If you pay an expert to do it you are essentially paying for their labor. That could get quite expensive.

Another option is to purchase a home electrolysis device. These devices are safe and easy to use. The device may seem a bit expensive, but if you think about how much you are going to pay someone per hour to do it for you, you’ll quickly realize that the home device is the cheaper option. Once you are done using it you can give it to a friend or sell it.

The Best Anti Aging Wrinkle Creams Is Actually In Your Grocer’s Produce Section

June 6th, 2007

Anyone who reads my writing on anti aging will no that I’m not against anti aging wrinkle creams or even surgery in some special cases. However, these should be your last lines of defense. Anti aging wrinkle creams can be effective, but not as effective as natural preventative approaches. I read of a woman that I mention on my site that was in her 70’s but looked like she was in her 40’s. What was attributed to her looking 30 years younger than her age? She drank vegetable juice everyday that she prepared herself at home.

Anti aging wrinkle creams can be effective, but you’re fighting an uphill losing battle if you don’t first take care of your dietary health. A study that appeared in the Journal of the American College of Nutrition in 2001 found that certain foods may actually eliminate wrinkles. These diets included abundant amounts of fruits, a lot of vegetables (ideally 1 pound of vegetables a day for each 50 pounds of body weight), and a fair amount of unsaturated fats. These foods were found to decrease or eliminate wrinkles because they enhanced the skin’s ability to defend against the damage from sun exposure. Another key part of the diet was that it was extremely low in processed sugar. I have a feeling that too much sugar can make a healthy diet and anti aging wrinkle creams useless.

The healthy diet appears to be significantly more effective than even the best anti aging wrinkle creams. However, important to the diet was the understanding that not all vegetables are created equal. Munching down a bunch of carrots and celery will not cut it. The most effective vegetables were of the green and leafy varieties. Add a couple pounds of these to your diet each day and watch the wrinkles disappear. Beans, olive oil and nuts were also found to be powerful anti aging foods.

This study also drew some other fascinating conclusions. For example, those who participated in the study that smoked cigarettes also found improvements in skin quality and smoothness when their diet included the foods mentioned above. If you are unable to stop smoking — smoking is a major contributor to premature aging — then a combination of a diet rich in leafy green vegetables could have you looking years younger in no time at all. The foundation of a healthy diet would also make the anti aging wrinkle creams even more effective.

The study also found that age does not make a difference. That is, it doesn’t matter how old you are, if you start eating a diet rich in leaf green vegetables and the other foods mentioned above, your skin will start to look younger and smoother. And if you must, add in one of the good anti aging wrinkle creams to perhaps even achieve greater results.

The authors developed a theory to why this diet resulted in younger looking skin. All these foods contain extremely high amounts of antioxidants. The major antioxidants are vitamins like A, C and E. How do the fats help the skin? The experts believe that these fats slow down or stop the oxidation of skin cells. Many of the anti aging wrinkle creams contain antioxidants, too. My feeling is it’s better to eat them than apply them to the skin.

What does all this mean? Anti aging wrinkle creams can be effective measures to slow aging of the skin, but they won’t be the least bit effective if you have a poor diet, spend a lot of time in the sun and smoke cigarettes. Anti aging wrinkle creams will only be able to undo some of the skin damage your lifestyle causes. The ideal scenario, on the other hand, is to quit smoking, limit sun exposure, stay away from foods that contain oxidative toxins (mostly processed foods), and eat a diet of fresh foods with high levels of antioxidants. Perhaps only in these circumstances can the often expensive anti aging wrinkle creams fully perform the magic they are supposed to.

The best natural acne treatment is surprising food. Acne is caused by over
